Welcome to River L Jax. As a community organizer our belief and activism has always been that people of all financial backgrounds deserve food and sweet treats. That's why we are offering a three-level income-based sliding scale for our home bakery.
At River L Jax, we understand the importance of financial privilege reflection. We recognize that everyone comes from different financial backgrounds and that financial privilege can affect access to resources.
By offering a three-level income-based sliding scale, we are taking a step towards creating a more inclusive and equitable community. We encourage everyone to reflect on their own financial privilege and consider how they can support others in accessing the resources and join us in building a more equitable community.
This sliding scale is just a starting point in encouraging EVERYONE to examine their privileges and financial resources.
We acknowledge that even with this sliding scale model, that this program may still be inaccessible to some. Please understand that we are offering a model that we feel is sustainable for our small business. If the lowest end of the scale is still not feasible for you and is unsafe, reach out for a baked good sponsorship.
